More and more women are getting involved in technology and succeeding. They are more innovative than others as the world of technology is not easy for them. Innovation has no sex and we met Andrea Liao, the young woman behind this innovative application that is the guilty pleasure of foodies in Chile.

Mesa is introducing the concept of Yield Management to the restaurant industry. Mesa is a mobile reservation App that helps restaurants attract customers at off-peak times, maximize their revenue and increase capacity utilization with dynamic, time-based discounts.

The biggest challenge right now is finding the correct talent and continue to expand our team. « Mesa has become a valuable platform for over 130 restaurants to generate additional revenue and we’re very proud to be the Top 10 most downloaded App in our category,” she says.

She is been participating in many competitions and high-level forums like WeXchange. Andrea participated in WeXchange 2017 in Santiago, Chile and the 7th edition in Asunción, Paraguay. She was able to connect with fellow STEMpreneurs and key investors. She’s also participating in Seedstars LATAM Summit 2019 in Medellin, Colombia this week as the winning startup in Chile.

Mrs. Liao has a message to fellow women entrepreneurs “all entrepreneurs have struggles that come with being a business owner. There are long working hours, the ups and downs of having a startup, validation, etc. Don’t let that hold you down as women all over the world are starting enduring businesses every day and we gain valuable insights by working together, sharing our knowledge and creating long-lasting networks ».
